Ask trusted people for recommendations. This is probably the best way to choose a provider and is how we get the majority of our clients. If someone you know and trust has confidence in a salon or groomer, chances are good you will too!
Call or stop in and have a conversation. You can usually get a good idea if you mesh well by having a discussion..however, keep in mind that groomers are typically very busy with appointments and may not have time for a lengthy chat immediately..but they can call you back during downtime to give you their undivided attention.
Check out their website and browse pictures of grooms and read up on the salon and groomers working there.
Find out what services are offered, how they book appointments, and also the typical grooming hours/days to make certain that they can accommodate your needs. Keep in mind that without seeing and examining your pet in person a groomer can not give you an accurate quote. Many factors go into determining price.
